The successful candidate will be part of the drug discovery team, design, execute and lead in vivo and translational studies with animal models to advance several aspects of BeOne Medicines' pre-clinical programs, using their skill sets to accomplish the following responsibilities Independently search literature, and under the supervision, being able to complete therapeutic target proposal as needed Based on the needs, under supervision, design and execute scientifically sound studies to answer the scientific questions Under supervision, act as the in vivo pharmacology representative or its candidate, actively work with cross-functional teams, relying on the strong in vivo pharmacology knowledge and assimilating external information relevant to proposal, design and execute the key study using animal models to get clearly scientific conclusion for the purpose of target validation, compound screening, selection, mechanism(s) investigation and IND (Investigational New Drug) filing Under supervision, support platform establishment when requested, by providing scientific inputs through literature search, and carrying out the new assay and/or characterizing new in vivo models Under supervision, resolve some key issues in the preclinical in vivo pharmacology field for drug discovery Under supervision, review and evaluate target/program as a SME (Subject Matter Expert) of preclinical pharmacology for due diligence purpose as needed Keep abreast of the most updated scientific progress in the therapeutic areas of company interest; under supervision, present scientific data to internal audiences and/or generate abstracts/posters to present BeiGene to external professionals of domestic conference as needed Other management and/or administrative responsibilities as needed

PhD in the disciplines of medical and life sciences; specialty in cell biology, molecular biology, genetics, epigenetics, cancer biology, neuroimmune or immunology is a plus. Strong passion and exploration desire in science Demonstrated independent scientific thinking and creative problem-solving skills, as evident in original research, contribution to drug discovery, patent publication and/or track records in peer reviewed journals (i.e., first or second authorship publication(s)) Good communications skills; demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with peers across multiple areas Good analytical and organizational skills Demonstrated trouble shooting ability to some extent Good learning agility, flexible and comfortable in a fast pace working environment Good English language skills – Chinese language skill is highly desired but not required Professional demeanor Self-starter attitude
