The CHO upstream cell culture process team is responsible for establishing and maintaining scalable, transferable, and GMP-compliant CHO cell culture processes. This includes cell thawing and seed train expansion through bioreactor cultivation, feed strategy design, and control of key process parameters to continuously improve productivity while maintaining critical quality attributes. The team also performs process optimization and characterization (e.g., DoE and CPP–CQA linkage), executes technology transfer to manufacturing sites or CDMOs with on-site support, and delivers core documentation such as process descriptions, batch records, and development/transfer reports. Close collaboration with cell line development, downstream processing, analytics, and quality functions is essential to ensure timely project delivery and robust commercial manufacturing. Job Description (including but not limited to)： 1) Support early-stage and late phase biological product development. Responsible for antibody purification process development and ADC process development, tox material preparation, tech transfer, downstream process optimization and characterization. 2) As function representative, working closely with stakeholders (technical development functions, Research, CMC, Quality, MST/manufacture, Reg CMC, clinical operation, etc.) to advance technical development of newly NMEs according to aligned development timeline. Enable IND/BLA submission per aligned CMC timeline. 3) Key contributor to relevant CMC sections in IND/BLA submission. 4) Provide solution/insights on technical issues from biologics developability assessment to CMC development. 5) Stay current with emerging trends, new technology POC aiming for cost effectiveness and/or improving operation excellence and efficiency. 6) Junior team members training and lab management.

1) PhD in chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, biochemistry, biotechnology, bioengineering, or relevant field. 2) Proficient experimental skills, capable of independently completing study design, experiment execution, data collection and analysis, as well as report writing, and able to troubleshoot abnormal experimental results. 3) Familiar with cell culture principles and techinical skills. 4) High self-motivation to solve problems and explore state-of-the-art technologies. 5) Good English proficiency (reading/writing/speaking) for technical communication, documentation and cross-functional collaboration. 6) Ability to work independently, identify, and solve problems. Strong interpersonal skills with a good collaboration spirit. Result-driven with high agility in a changing environment. 7) Experience in applying AI tools to improve real work outcomes, with clear examples of impact (quality, speed, decision support) is a plus.
